Third Annual College & Career Expo Sees Largest Student Turnout Yet

The Columbia Gorge STEM Hub in collaboration with Career Connect Southwest WA and Columbia Gorge Community College hosted its third annual College & Career Expo on Friday, April 19th at CGCC’s Campus in The Dalles. 138 students from 11 high schools in the region (6 from Washington and 5 from Oregon) attended this year’s event - the largest number to date.

"Light Capsule" Art Installation Set to Light Up the Night in TD May 17

The City of The Dalles will host a launch party for the installation of a “Light Capsule” art installation at the Waldron Drug Store Building in honor of National Historic Preservation Month on May 17, 2024 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The event will showcase the fascinating of the Waldron Drug Store Building (also known as the Gitchell Building) and culminate in the unveiling of The Dalles’ newest art installation.

Preparing for the 2nd Annual Columbia River Round Dance Honoring MMIW/P on May 3

The Columbia River Round Dance, hosted by CRITFC is a public event open to everyone. It will take place at The Dalles Readiness Center at 402 E Scenic Drive. Doors open at 5 p.m. and the community dinner begins at 6:30 p.m. All are invited to join in this important gathering as the community comes together to raise awareness of missing and murdered indigenous women/people and promote healing.
