We are now taking applications for employment at The St. Vincent DePaul winter shelter. We are located at 315 W. 3rd street, across from old St. Peters Church, and behind Panaderia La Ideal Bakery. The shelter will be operating starting in December and continuing until at least the end of February. It operates when temperature or weather is a danger to folks who live outside. Shifts start at 8:30 PM and continue until 7 AM. Two people are always on shift, and watch over the clients while they sleep.  You may work a whole shift or a half shift. You may also select days you will or will not be available to work. We will be doing interviews on November 22nd and 23rd. The job pays more than the state minimum wage.
