I want to bring attention to the platform and the campaign of Solea Kabakov for mayor of The Dalles. In reading carefully her ideas and also listening to her interview on local radio I am encouraged that we have a candidate for mayor who has a strong vision and the energies to bring that vision into reality for our town. The Dalles is a special place. It is also a place ready for growth in ways that are of the new era, a time for taking care of each other’s needs, a time for focusing on schools for the young and shelter for the houseless. Reading her platform I feel she can lead us in the best direction. I will be voting for her in the best interest of all of us in our town.
