‘Harvesting Sunshine’ fest set to crush at Iconic TD Mill on Sept. 27
The Dalles, Ore., Sept. 5, 2025 — Rooftop elevator rides and wine flights are just a bit of the fun as the Sunshine Mill hosts will “Harvesting Sunshine” for the third year at this engaging Festival on Saturday, Sept. 27, from noon to 6 p.m.
The free, family-friendly event will celebrate the harvest of estate-grown Pinot Noir and the fall season with activities, tours, food, drinks and live music.
We’re inviiting everyone to celebrate a very special time for much of the gorge and to show you all the great things we have to offer,” said Sunshine Mill’s Natasha Skov. “Spend your day Harvesting Sunshine with us.”
Tours of the historic mill, including access to the roof, will be offered every hour on the hour. Guests will be able to watch grapes being crushed on site and sample the winery’s Pinot Noir at no cost. Additional wines and food will be available, along with beer from Freebridge Brewing and cider from Working Hands Fermentation.
A wide range of family activities will be available, including a pumpkin patch, a pumpkin bounce house and face painting provided by Fairy Godmother’s Events.
Local vendors will feature clothing pop-ups from Terra Cotta Gorge Co., Herbal Revival Apothecary and Skookum Outfitters Fly Fishing & Outdoor Store. Additional offerings will include apothecary goods from Moonbeam Daydream, flower bouquets from Dusty Boots Flower Farm, cookies from Dani’s Kitchen Shop, chocolate-covered treats and drinks from Berries By Felice, hair sparkles from Lucky Locks, and a custom hat-building experience from The Hat Lab.
The Dry Hollow PTA will be on site selling hot dogs and lemonade.
Live music will take place outdoors for the duration of the festival.
