34th Annual Candy Cane Lane Parade in Goldendale

Goldendale, WA. October 28, 2024 — The Brighter Goldendale Christmas Committee is excited to announce the 34th Annual Candy Cane Lane Christmas Parade, set to take place on Saturday, December 14, 2024. This beloved holiday tradition brings festive cheer to our community with an evening full of holiday activities for all ages.

Parade Schedule:

4 PM Parade Line-Upon S. Shuster Avenue by the Goldendale Primary School

4:15 PM Community Choir of Goldendale on the KC Courthouse Lawn

4:30 PM Parade Entry Judging

4:45 PM Christmas Tree Lighting on the KC Courthouse Lawn, led by our Grand Marshal, Edgar Holbrook* of Bishop Companies.

5:00 PM Parade Starts

Following the parade:

Be sure to warm up at the Goldendale Community Gathering held at The Lodge 219 S. Columbus, Goldendale, WA 98620, where attendees can enjoy:

• Award Presentations for parade entries and the best-decorated homes and businesses in Goldendale

• Complimentary Lodge-made hearty soups will be served

• Sip some hot chocolate in memory of Rachael Starr

• Visit with Santa Claus

• Free Books for kids, presented by the Goldendale Kiwanis

*Edgar Holbrook, a lifelong resident of Goldendale has owned and operated Bishop Sanitation, Inc. since 1977. To those who know this hard-working dad, grandpa, longtime business owner and community event supporter, the honor of being named Grand Marshal makes great sense. One Brighter Goldendale Christmas Committee member explained, “Because Edgar isn’t one to seek out the spotlight, we wanted to honor his decades of service to the greater Columbia Gorge communities in this public way. We invite everyone to join us in celebrating the spirit of the season and making the 34th annual Candy Cane Lane Parade our best one yet! “
