63-year-old felon arrested on drug & fire arm charges in West The Dalles

The Dalles, Ore., Oct. 8, 2025 — A multi-agency narcotics task force served a search warrant at the West Side Village Apartments in The Dalles on Oct. 3, resulting in the arrest of a 63-year-old man on multiple drug, weapons and child neglect charges.
Detectives with the Mid-Columbia Interagency Narcotics Task Force (MINT) arrested Albert George Vonslomski Sr. after finding drugs, weapons and stolen property during the search. He was charged with unlawful delivery and possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, unlawful delivery and possession of methamphetamine, theft in the first degree, being a felon in possession of a firearm, and first-degree child neglect.
MINT officials said additional arrests or charges are likely as the investigation continues.
The task force includes members from the Wasco, Hood River, Sherman and Gilliam County sheriff’s offices, as well as The Dalles and Hood River police departments.
According to MINT, the investigation was made possible “in part through tips provided by the community.” Residents can submit information through tip411 or The Dalles Police Department’s website.
Vonslomski was booked into NORCOR and later released after appearing in court. He is presumed innocent until proven guilty, and charges may be reduced, modified, or expanded as the legal process moves forward.
