The Dalles, Ore. December 6, 2024 — Jayme Thompson, MSN, RN, has been named Operations Executive/Administrator of Adventist Health Columbia Gorge. Members of the community are invited to meet Thompson during the Festival of Trees on Dec. 7, 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m., at The Dalles Civic Auditorium. Thompson transitions into her new position on Nov. 24, 2024. She fills the role following the retirement of Camie Overton, who served as Interim Administrator.

Born at The Dalles Hospital, Thompson has dedicated more than 20 years of her career to caring for patients, mentoring nurses, and leading teams at Adventist Health Columbia Gorge. Her journey began as an emergency department nurse and progressed through various leadership roles, including serving as the Director of Emergency Services and most recently as Patient Care Executive.

“This wealth of history and commitment to our community is immeasurable, but Jayme brings even more that will propel Adventist Health Columbia Gorge into a bright and meaningful future,” says Kyle King, Adventist Health Oregon Service Area president. “She is passionate about building successful teams that promote a collaborative environment with both internal staff and external community partners.”

Thompson’s extensive experience, clinical expertise, and dedication to fostering a culture of collaboration, safety, and quality position her to be an exceptional leader for Adventist Health Columbia Gorge. “I am excited to lead our exceptional teams as we continue to stabilize our organization, recruit talented individuals, and innovate to better serve each other, our patients, and the community,” Thompson shares.

Outside of work, Thompson is a proud mother of energetic twin boys who love sports and the outdoors. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, fishing, and cheering on her boys at their games.
