Auction Sales Shawn and Shane .JPG

Shawn Wilkinson, 42, and Shane Wingfield, 31, had a little morning joe while showing off this 1978 Subaru Brat at Auction Sales Co. this morning, Monday, March 8. A local brought this vehicle in recently after realizing he did not have time to finish the project. It needs an engine. Wilkinson said the car would likely go for around $500 at auction. Wilkinson owns Auction Sales with his wife Evie on Highway 197 just south of Freemont Street. They get thousands of items and then sell them all via internet auction, broadening the pool of buyers immensely. He noted sales have come internationally. Currently, some antique blacksmith tools are on the lot as well as a fire truck. You never know what may turn up at the auction yard. “From teacups to D-9s,” he said. Pre-bid on the next auction starts on April 1 and will end on either April 17 or 18, depending on the item. You can check them out by clicking here.
