The Bonneville Power Administration has called local police authorities and warned of a possible strike to the BPA infrastructure in the Dalles area, according to a police log report taken on Sept. 1 at 4:35 p.m.
The Dalles Police Captain Jamie Carrico said he confirmed the report from the BPA security personnel and has a call into the Federal Bureau of Investigation seeking more information.
“I can’t even say how the information was sourced,” Carrico said on Thursday afternoon, Sept. 2.
In the log report, the BPA informed The Dalles Police that they would have additional security guards in The Dalles area for the next 12 days.
“Whats on the police log is all the information I have,” said Carrico.
According to the phone call to The Dalles Police, Richard with BPA said the FBI informed the BPA about the threat.
The BPA officials told police there have been threats against the power grid substations in The Dalles area fand they will be having armed security in the area for the next 12 days, the log states.
The report also contains FBI Contact Kevin Koelbel who is a Supervisory Special Agent at Federal Bureau of Investigation.
