Calling All Photographers! City of The Dalles Photo Contest Deadline is August 31st

The City of The Dalles is holding a photo contest for their new website and the August 31st deadine is fast approaching.
If you have photos of The Dalles, or want to take a few, this is your chance to help the City and possibly earn a cash prize.
The City of The Dalles is re-envisioning their municipal website and are looking for high resolution photos of The Dalles for their new website. All photos will receive proper credit to the photographer.
The top three submissions will receive a prize.The first prize winner will win $100, second place wins $50 and third place wins $25. All decisions about prizes are controlled by the City, and decisions are final.
The contest is open until August 31, 2021 at 5 p.m.
How to Enter
To enter the contest simply:
1. Email your best photos to CityInfo@ci.the-dalles.or.us and/or
2. Post them to Facebook,
a. Tag the City of The Dalles- City Hall and
b. Add the hashtag #CityofTheDallesPhotos2021

By entering this photo contest, you retain the rights to your work while granting the City of The Dalles the unrestricted, royalty-free, perpetual right to use, reproduce, communicate, modify, and display the works (in whole or in part) for any purpose without any fee or other form of compensation, and without further notification or permission.
By participating in this contest, you release and agree to indemnify and hold harmless the City of The Dalles, its employees, directors, officers, affiliates, agents, judges, and advertising and promotional agencies from any and all damages, injuries, claims, causes of actions, or losses of any kind resulting from your participation in this contest or receipt or use of any prize; provided, however, in no event shall you indemnify against the City of The Dalles’ s sole negligence. The contest is open until 5:00 p.m. on August 31, 2021.
All photos must be original work, taken by the entrants. No third party may own or control any materials the photo contains, and the photo must not infringe upon the trademark, copyright, moral rights, intellectual rights, or rights of privacy of any entity or person.
The winner will be contacted via the email address provided during entry or via Facebook messenger if submitted through Facebook. If no response is received after three (3) business days, a new winner will be selected and the previous winner will forfeit all rights to the prize.
