Can you dig it? McPherson can; He can cook a heck of a burger too
The Dalles, Ore., Feb. 5, 2024 — 19-year-old Chris McPherson was back in the trenches this morning, Feb. 5 as rains clamped down on The Dalles after a fairly clear Sunday filled with azure blue.
McPherson, a graduate of The Dalles High School, said he enjoyed working for Crestline Construction, as they worked on replacing a sewer line at The Dalles Inn.
“This is way better than fast food,” he said.
McPherson, of Dallesport, said he worked for two years at Burgerville before moving into construction.
“I could make anything in that kitchen,” he said, noting he worked the grill.
Do you still go there?
“I ate there last night,” he said, laughing.
Well, keep that home fire stoked, Chris, because The Gorge is looking at another drizzly week as highs hang in the low 40s and rain has got a 20 to 30 percent chance of showing up, according to the National Weather Service.
