The Dalles, OR. September 29, 2023 - Columbia Gorge Discovery Center & Museum hosts a Vintage Evening “Down by the Riverside” auction fundraiser, on Saturday, Oct. 14, 2023. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and dinner starts at 6:30 p.m. at Columbia Gorge Discovery Center & Museum. Enjoy dinner from Cowboy Catering, music by DJ Randy Haines, a live auction with Dennis Morgan, a sample from the whiskey, wine & beer bar, and help raise funds for the museum through this live and silent auction.

Tickets are $55 per person and $500 per table for 10. Event sponsorships are available from $100 to $1,000. This is a 21 and older event. Tickets are on sale now at the Columbia Gorge Discovery Center & Museum. Call 541-296-8600 x 201 or visit www.gorgediscovery.org for more information.

This event is the largest fundraiser of the year for the Columbia Gorge Discovery Center & Museum, a nonprofit organization. Over two dozen auction packages include unique vacations, unforgettable experiences, dinners, art, wine tastings, and more. There will be local offerings from wineries and breweries, plus the ever-popular whiskey bar.

The funds raised will support the museum’s mission to inspire stewardship of the Columbia River Gorge and Wasco County, encouraging active lifelong learning about our shared environment and the preservation, collection, and interpretation of the cultural and natural history of the region.

Columbia Gorge Discovery Center and Museum is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and the official interpretive center for the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area. The museum is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Hands-on, multi-media exhibits illuminate the cultural and natural history of the Gorge, including Ice Age geology, Native American culture, Lewis and Clark, the Oregon Trail, trade, transportation, renewable energy, ecology, live raptors and more. The museum is wheelchair accessible, and family-friendly, with a Kids Explorer room. The Riverfront Trail offers walking, biking, and a native plant nature trail. Located off I-84 exit 82, at 5000 Discovery Drive, The Dalles, Oregon, 97058, museum adult admission is $12, seniors $10, kids 6 to 16 are $7, and free for children 5 and under. Live raptor presentations are held at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays until springtime. The Columbia River Trading Company, the museum’s store is open daily and free to enter.
