Community Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Workshops Return to the Gorge

Community Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Workshops Return to the Gorge

From The Next Door Inc.:

The Next Door Inc. is pleased to announce its 2023 Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) workshops!

A selection of popular ‘foundational’ DEI workshops are back, including:

  • Latino Outreach

  • LGBTQIA2S+ Outreach

  • Plain Language

A DEI workshop in progress.

Equity and Outreach Trainings Services (EOTS), a program of The Next Door, Inc (TNDI) since 2017, is specifically designed to support partners and professionals on their individual pathways towards Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). Using Popular Education, a teaching methodology that encourages community members to step up as leaders and speak about their experiences, the EOTS team has supported non-profits, government agencies, businesses and individuals in their efforts to become more inclusive and welcoming to all. Participants leave feeling that they have better tools and opportunities to practice new skills that can help their organizations foster a culture of community wellbeing and health.

As one workshop participant stated, “I highly recommend anyone attend a Latino Outreach workshop with The Next Door. You will learn a lot of tips and strategies to build connections with the region's Latino community. And, I loved being able to share ideas with other community partners. I walked away with a lot of ideas I can put into action right away in my work.”

A DEI workshop in progress.

Each workshop provides skills, resources, and tools professionals, businesses, and community members can start using right away. At this time, these workshops are only available in English and will be hosted on Zoom. Space is limited, so sign up soon to reserve your spot! Limited scholarships and discounts are available on ticket sales. Curious about group bundles? Email us to learn about our private workshops and group rates

Equity and Outreach Training Services (EOTS)  is a program of The Next Door, Inc (TNDI).
