The Dalles, OR. Sept 19, 2023 - The Next Door Inc. (TNDI) is excited to invite the community to our upcoming Open House for Youth Services at our Drop-In Center located at 1113 Kelly Avenue in The Dalles! Join us on Monday, September 25th from 5-7 p.m. to learn more about TNDI’s programs and services offered to local area youth including community-based mentoring, outreach in schools, life skills training, native supports, and more. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet with staff and volunteers, tour the Drop-In and Kelly Avenue School, and learn more about TNDI’s impact on the lives of the youth we serve in a seven-county region.

“We're looking forward to our Open House to showcase all of the great programming we provide to youth in the community,” says Youth Services Program Manager, Heather Howard. “This includes the Drop-In Center, a safe space for at-risk youth to come and get support. We’ll also be highlighting our Gorge Youth Mentoring program to share a really impactful way community members can get involved!”

TNDI was founded in 1971, with the goal of addressing the unmet need for support services for youth in the Columbia Gorge. Today, we have over 35 programs, all working towards our mission of opening doors to new possibilities by strengthening children and families and improving communities. TNDI’s Youth Services programs focus on helping youth gain confidence and build social skills while providing them with opportunities for life experiences to help broaden their horizons and set them on the path to healthy, well-adjusted futures.

Refreshments and hors d’oeuvres will be provided. The event is open to the public and all are welcome to attend. For more information about our programs, please visit nextdoorinc.org/youth-services. Donations may be made at nextdoorinc.org/donate
