The Sunshine Mill Winery will be hosting film festivals and three nights of Halloween-themed movies for the month of October. They have converted their gravel lot into a drive-in movie theater equipped with a gigantic viewing screen. They can host around 40 cars. Tickets cost $30 plus a handling fee per car for each day or each night session of the film festivals. The costi is $20 a car for the Halloween movie nights. For those seeking concessions, there is a $10 add-on snack package that includes a soda, popcorn, candy, and a hotdog. It is only available for the Halloween movies.

The film festivals consist of short independent international films. The festival consists of horror, documentary, and comedy films. Each week, The Drive-Up Movies at the Mill will showcase three days of each category of films; one category per week. Movie goodies, appetizers, and wine will be available. 

Horror Film Fest

Oregon Horror Scream Week Film Festival will take place Oct. 8-10. This is a collection of 100 short films from two different editions of the Oregon Scream Week Horror Film Festival (Spring 2020 and Fall 2020) that have been combined. They will be screened over three different evenings from approximately 6:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m.

Thursday, Oct. 8

  1. Session 1.  Doors open at 5:00p.m. Films start at approximately 6 p.m (when it gets dark)  $30 flat fee per vehicle. Passengers will not be counted. This session is 120 minutes and ends at approximately 8:00 p.m.

  2. Session 2. Films start at approximately 8:30 p.m. Cost is $30 flat fee per vehicle. Passengers will not be counted. This session is a little over 120 minutes in length and ends at approximately 10:30-11:00 p.m.

Friday, Oct. 9

  1. Session 3.  Doors open at 5:00p.m. Films start at approximately 6 p.m. (when it gets dark)  $30 flat fee per vehicle. Passengers will not be counted. This session is 120 minutes and ends at approximately 8:00 p.m.

  2. Session 4. Films start at approximately 830p.m. $30 flat fee per vehicle. Passengers will not be counted. This session is a little over 120 minutes in length and ends at approximately 10:30-11:00 p.m.

Saturday, Oct. 10

  1. Session 5.  Doors open at 5:00p. Films start at approximately 6p (when it gets dark)  $30 flat fee per vehicle. Passengers will not be counted. This session is 120 minutes and length and ends at approximately 8:00 p.m.

Documentary Film Fest 

The Oregon Documentary Film Festival is a theatrical screening event on the Film Festival Circuit that screens international independent documentary films. Scheduled for live screening on October 11-12, 2020. Doors open at approximately 6:00 p.m each night. (depending on when it gets dark) The program is 3.5 hours each night. 81 short films will screen. Most average 5-7 minutes each.

Friday, Oct. 11

  1. 6: 00 p.m-9:30 p.m.- The ticket for Day 1 of the Oregon Documentary Film Festival 2020 is priced at a $30 flat fee per vehicle. Passengers will not be counted.

  2. Day 2: Sold Out. 

Comedy Film Fest 

The Portland Comedy Film Festival Summer 2020 and Fall 2020 events are scheduled for Oct. 21-25. Doors open at approximately 6 p.m each night, depending on when it gets dark. There are two different two-hour sessions each night. Every session and film is unique. None of the short films are repeated.

Halloween Films Showtimes

Movies are happening Thursday-Saturday around Halloween, $20 a car! Plus there is a $10 add-on package for these movies that will include a soda, popcorn, candy, and a hotdog. See showtimes, below.
