The Dalles Church Offers 40 Bags of School Supplies to Families in Need
The Dalles, Ore., Aug. 28, 2025 — Emmanuel Baptist Church will distribute free school supplies to families in need on Friday, Aug. 29.
Church members donated funds and assembled 40 bags of supplies for the giveaway, which will run from noon to 2 p.m. at the church, 2819 W. 10th St.
Organizers said the effort grew out of a call for help to support families struggling financially.
“We asked people in our church to help families that are having a hard time making ends meet, and they responded,” church leaders said in a statement.
The distribution is open to all families, regardless of church affiliation, while supplies last.
