Exploring the Jam at Lewis & Clark
The Dalles, Ore., June 1, 2025 — The Dalles Grand Music Festival comes to a close today but that was not holding these folks back at Lewis & Clark Park this morning at 11:30 a.m .
The old-time tunes festival is wrapping up today, June 1, in The Dalles, capping three days of toe-tapping bluegrass, lively dancing, and community celebration.
Held at the historic Granada Theatre, Lewis and Clark Festival Park, and Herbring House, the event brought together musicians and fans from across the Pacific Northwest to celebrate traditional folk and fiddle music.
Crowds gathered for concerts, open mics, kids’ activities, and dance nights, while jam sessions popped up both indoors and out. Highlights included workshops with regional musicians, a screening of The Winding Stream about the Carter and Cash families, and historical performances of fiddle tunes from the Lewis and Clark expedition.
