Despite the many difficulties that have already faced teachers due to the COVID-19 pandemic this year, Erin Peter’s says her teaching team is doing their best to make the best of it for their students.

“Our class motto is: it’s okay not to know, but it’s not okay not to try,” said Peters. “Even though this year looks completely different, I love getting to ‘see’ my students get excited about learning on Zoom.”

And while they’re only a few days into the school year Peters says, it’s been okay so far, thanks to support from her teaching team and assistants.

“It’s been going really well so far, with just a few hiccups along the way. The rest of my third-grade teaching team, Jess Dye and Judy Ford, have been really positive and encouraging, which makes all the difference! Not to mention awesome assistants who are stepping up and helping out!”

Thank you teachers for trying to make the best of a bad situation!
