Trena Gray with a gift for a friend.

Trena Gray had a little errand today, Aug. 24.

She wanted to make a friend happy.

So she bought her some flowers and it turned into a swinging event as she passed by the new mural at The WorkShop, 201 E. Second St., The Dalles.

The mural recently painted by Kelsey Montague features some big ol’ cherries in a trunk of joyous symbolism.

In my early days, I would say this is all killer, no filler.

It’s hard not to get drawn into it.

Gray could not avoid it. She also could not avoid the urge to give Julie Simantel of Wasco the bouquet.

We found this Facebook post from The WorkShop online:

Anyone notice a big cherry tree appear outside of our shop this weekend? We are so excited to introduce a new mural in town by Kelsey Montague. Come on down and snap a picture and don't forget to tag us @thedallesworkshop and #thedalles to be entered into a raffle of The Dalles goodies! Winner will be selected on Sunday!

A big THANK YOU to all of those who helped make this mural happen. We couldn't have done it without you!
