Get Ghoulish this October on A Historic Tour of Downtown The Dalles

(The Dalles, OR) – Haunted history, macabre accounts, and funny anecdotes of Downtown The Dalles will be on-demand during the 2nd Annual The Dalles Main Street’s Ghost Walk. 

Starting October 9th through Halloween, The Dalles Main Street invites walkers to take a self-guided tour of Downtown The Dalles. Tour-goers will use a map provided at check out to find locations with posters, use their smart device to scan the posted QR code, and be instantly taken to a short video story of the location’s haunts or hilarious history. 

Volunteers have prepared a family-friendly tour that clocks in at approximately twenty minutes of videos with approximately fifteen minutes of walking time. Donations are suggested at a minimum of $10 per map for the family-friendly tour. The family tour includes some funny history, as well as light ghost stories with minimal violent or suggestive content. 

The adult tour is longer at approximately thirty-five minutes of videos and approximately twenty minutes of walking time. The suggested donation is for a minimum of $12 per map. This tour includes mature content. 

The tour requires guests to provide their own smart devices. Headphones are strongly recommended. For those taking the tour at night, we also strongly urge people to carry a flashlight for areas on 1st Street.

Proceeds support The Dalles Main Street’s many efforts including historic renovation grants, marketing, and building Downtown features like the pole lights and upcoming pallets for outdoor seating.
