Goldendale Community Days will kick off on Friday night July 8th at 6:30 p.m. on the Klickitat County Courthouse lawn with a celebration of Goldendale’s Sesquicentennial, which celebrates the 150th anniversary of Goldendale’s founding.

Friday’s event highlights will include speakers, historical exhibits including an unveiling of Goldendale’s 1972 time capsule items and local Native American history exhibits, the burying of Goldendales 2022 time capsule, and a free ice cream social.

The Goldendale Community Library will also host a book sale from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and a scavenger hunt for people of all ages from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The first ten people to complete the scavenger hunt will receive a Sesquicentennial Commemorative Coin, along with a commemorative rock (from the cement slab used 50 years ago) and water bottle, along with library-related prizes.
