Fruition - Labor of Love 10th Anniversary Celebration!

FRUITION

Fruition, How to Make Mistakes

Three songwriters. Five bandmates. More than 15 years together, building a grassroots audience with a combination of stacked vocal harmonies and collaborative, song-driven Americana. Fruition is proof that there's strength in numbers.

How To Make Mistakes, the band's first studio album in four years, showcases a reinvigorated group at the peak of its powers. This is American roots music at its broadest and boldest — a melting pot of rock, soul, folk, and pop. What began as a busking string band has evolved into something more eclectic, rooted not only in the unique delivery of three different singers, but also the cohesion of five friends who prefer their music to be homegrown and honest… mistakes and all.

"This is the first studio album that we've recorded entirely live," says Jay Cobb Anderson, who shares frontperson duties with fellow multi-instrumentalists Mimi Naja and Kellen Asebroek. "We recorded 17 songs in 7 days, with everybody playing together in real time, and we didn't overdub anything. The songs sound honest and real. They sound like us."

Cherry Stomp Dance Returns

After years of silence, the dance floor is coming back to life

in The Dalles on Cherry Festival Weekend.

The Cherry Stomp Dance storms back into The Dalles Civic Auditorium on April 25 at 7:00 PM — bringing the music, the memories, and the magic back to The Civic for one unforgettable night.

For longtime locals, Cherry Stomp isn’t just a dance. It’s a feeling. It’s packed floors, big guitars, friends singing at the top of their lungs, and the kind of electric energy that only happens when a community comes together.

This year’s return carries special meaning. The event comes back with the blessing of Randy Haines, whose name became synonymous with unforgettable live entertainment in The Dalles and legendary nights at The Civic.

Providing the soundtrack for the night is the high-energy, live band “Icons of Rock - Tribute Show,” delivering powerhouse tributes to legends like Van Halen, Ozzy Osbourne, Joan Jett, and Shania Twain, along with more iconic hits guaranteed to keep the dance floor moving all night long. Expect big vocals, blazing guitar riffs, fist-in-the-air anthems, and nonstop dancing.

A full bar and food will be available for purchase, setting the stage for the ultimate night out with friends. Whether you’re reliving the glory days of Cherry Stomp or experiencing it for the very first time, this is your chance to be part of a revived local tradition.

JONNY FRITZ

Jonny Fritz - a veteran of 15 years as a touring musician. Born in Missoula, Montana and raised in Esmont, Virginia. A near perfect blend of country and western, yet impossible to know what to call it or do with it. Jonny calls it Dad Country; a theme park tailor made for dad's. That's his genre (so he says) and if that makes sense to you then you ought to have your head checked. The guy does it all. He is a famed leatherworker known for covering household items in handtooled leather (from microwaves and coffee grinders to telecasters). He's made guitar straps for all your favorite bands and he even co-wrote the hit song All Your Favorite Bands (with Taylor Goldsmith of Dawes). Currently residing in the foothills of Los Angeles, he hasn't toured much in the past few years since focusing on selling houses and raising his daughter. He's branded himself as L.A.'s Only Realtor™ and has become quite successful at selling multi-million dollar properties to the stars. Not to mention he's the Music Director of a boutique music venue in Sonoma County, CA called Little Saint that has garnered some major headlines for their surprise shows featuring the likes of boygenius, Phoebe Bridgers, Rufus Wainwright, Hiss Golden Messenger, Lavender Country and so many more. There’s a special freakiness Fritz brings to whatever he does. Selling real estate, running marathons, songwriting, or leather-working. It somehow all makes sense once you learn to make sense of it. Catch this delicate flower the next time you smell him coming! You won’t want to miss out on your chance to see him do his thing.

RODEO WILSON

Combining mid-century pop with alt-country sensibilities, Rodeo Wilson creates hazy, technicolored songs of love and pain, drawing musical inspiration from his Southwestern roots. With one album under his belt, Rodeo Wilson is set to release his sophomore effort in the Summer of 2026. Rodeo Wilson lives and works in Portland, OR.
