Freaky Friday - TD Schools pull together for some spooky spirit
Staff, teachers, and administrators pulled off some awesome costumes this afternoon, Friday, Oct. 30, as students dawned their own capes, masks, and wigs and came by their schools for a little drive-by celebration.
All three public elementary schools participated in The Dalles in one form or another. St. Mary’s Academy, which can have students in classrooms due to their size, also put on a parade of colorful costumed kids at the end of the day.
On the public side, students were ecstatic to see their teachers and assistants, waving and talking through the windows as their parents drove them through.
School staff gave the homework packet pick up the secondary purpose of celebrating together, if just for a brief time.
It was clearly apparent how much both students and staff missed each other as cars would stop and teachers and assistants would converse.
CCC News covered all four events and put together the following photographs and videos. May they awaken your inner pirate, or witch or warlock. HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
