Hood River, Ore., Dec. 2, 2025 — Hood River Farmers Market’s tenth winter season starts on Saturday, December 6th! Hood River Farmers Market is the only year-round farmers market in the Gorge. It’s open on 1st and 3rd Saturdays, December through April, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. During the winter, the market remains outside but moves to 403 Portway Avenue on the waterfront, near Ferment Brewing.

Even in winter, customers can still shop for seasonal fruits and vegetables from local farmers. The market hosts local growers like Oak Rose Farm, Nature’s Finest, Columbia Gorge Garlic, The Farmer in Odell, and more. Produce at the Hood River Farmers Market on average travels less than 10 miles from the farm to reach market customers, and produce is picked just hours before the opening bell rings. Most produce at the grocery store travels 1,500 miles and takes 7 days to reach store shelves.

The market also features local fishers, ranchers, bakers, and makers who offer meat, fish, eggs, cheese, baked goods, honey, and much more. While the focus of the market is on food, local makers and crafters will also showcase their handmade products. Customers can find a vendor schedule at www.gorgegrown.com/hoodrivervendors to see which vendors will be attending each week.

SNAP EBT (formerly known as food stamps) customers can receive up to an additional $40 free to shop at the market when they use their EBT card. To use a SNAP card at the market, visit the market info booth (the orange tent). When a customer purchases $20 in SNAP market tokens, they will receive an extra $20 in tokens and $20 in Double Up Food Bucks. SNAP tokens can be spent on any SNAP-eligible items from market vendors like fresh produce, meat, cheese, bread, and food-producing plant starts. Double Up Food Bucks can be spent on fresh vegetables, herbs, mushrooms, fruits, and food-producing plant starts. SNAP cards from any state are accepted.
