Hood River, Ore., Oct. 17, 2025 — Horizon Christian School will host the Higher Education Fair 2025 on Friday, Oct. 17, from 4 to 7 p.m. in the school’s gymnasium at 700 Pacific Ave. The free community event will connect students and families from across the Columbia Gorge with more than 20 universities, community colleges, trade schools, and military branches.

The fair offers an opportunity for students to meet directly with admissions representatives, explore career and academic pathways, and learn about financial aid and scholarship options.

Highlights include a featured session on “Planning and Applying to Higher Education” led by Walla Walla University from 5 to 5:30 p.m., along with hands-on discussions about FAFSA, scholarships, and preparing for college.

Attending students who register online will be entered in a $500 college scholarship drawing, with registration available at https://forms.office.com/r/XRj3qaf3iY.

Organizers say the goal is to inspire and equip high school students—whether from public or private schools—to pursue higher learning and purposeful futures.

Participating institutions include the University of Oregon, George Fox University, Warner Pacific University, Walla Walla University, Mt. Hood Community College, Columbia Gorge Community College, Central Washington University, Portland Bible College, Bushnell University, Corban University, and Grand Canyon University, among others.
