FEELING ‘22
That’s a wrap for the 2021-2022 school year!

The Ranger Pride Education Foundation and the Jerri Walker DePriest Memorial Endowment Fund are proud to award this year’s graduates with over $175,000 in scholarships, and with our additional community partners, our students earned over $200,000 this year to invest in their futures.

The Jerri Walker DePriest Memorial Endowment Fund &  Discover Rentals is proud to present the 24th Annual JWD Dinner & Auction: JERRIPALOOZA!

The Jager Bumz work their magic at the Dufur Valley Tavern in December of 2021.

This year the event will take place at the beautiful Dufur City Park on Saturday, September 24th. In addition to excellent food and beverage offerings and amazing auction items, this year’s event will also feature a concert with our local favorite, The Jager Bumz!

Gates open at 5 p.m. with lawn games, a preview of the silent auction and cocktail hour, featuring the famous  Ranger Rita and offerings from other local establishments 15-Mile Winery and Working Hands Brewery.

Our festive food carts will host a wide variety of offerings starting at 6 pm including Lilo’s BBQ, The  Feed Trough, the Magic Munchie Machine, Kalani’s Shave Ice and much more. The Oral Auction starts at 7 pm and will be followed by the concert at 8 pm. A table for 8 is $600 or $75 per person; tickets for just the concert are also on sale for $10 each or $15/couple.

Concert tickets will be available at the event, however, auction & dinner tickets will need to be pre-purchased.

Jerri Walker was a graduate of Dufur High School, marrying her high school sweetheart, Harold DePriest, and raising three children in the community that she loved. A fixture at Kramer’s Market and best described by her brother as a “cheerleader in life,” Jerri’s smiling face greeted everyone equally, always making sure she helped get your groceries to your car even as she continued to receive her grueling treatment for cancer.

In 1995, after 18 tumultuous years, Jerri Walker DePriest lost her battle and succumbed to the illness she bravely fought. Just as Jerri was committed to the very best of this community, her friends and family made a promise to her that her legacy of support, love, and encouragement would live on and established the Jerri Walker DePriest Memorial Endowment Fund with the goal of supporting all graduates of Dufur High School with scholarships for continuing education.  This fund has grown and evolved over the years and has become one of the most valuable investments for the future of our students and this community.

To date, JWD has supported hundreds of graduates of Dufur School, awarding over half a million dollars in scholarships. For the Class of 2022, the Jerri Walker DePriest Memorial Endowment Fund supported 13 students with over $74,000 in multi-year scholarships, a new record and something this entire community should be very proud of. Once again with your help, we can continue to support Jerri’s legacy and help each and every student of Dufur School to reach their fullest potential.
