— Feb. 3 Karl Vercouteren will introduce the February History Forum programs and give an update on the MuralFest project

— Feb. 10 Candidate for Pacific Northwest Kiwanis District Nicholas Hafez will address the club.

— Feb. 17 Tom Peterson will report on Columbia Community Connection.

— Feb. 24 Mayor Richard Mays will speak on what’s new in city government.

Karl Vercouteren

Karl Vercouteren came to The Dalles in 1977 to become pastor of United Church of Christ Congregational. Early on he joined Cascade Singers and the Original Courthouse board, reflecting life-long interests in music and history. Since retirement in 2008 he has taken on several projects writing about local history.
