Levesque to lead behavioral health at local nonprofit

The Dalles, Ore., Feb. 26, 2025 — Greater Oregon Behavioral Health, Inc. is pleased to announce that Cynthia Levesque will join the organization as Chief Behavioral Health Officer, starting April 28, 2025.

Levesque is an accomplished Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor III, and Approved Clinical Supervisor with over a decade of leadership experience in behavioral health, substance use disorder treatment, and program administration.

She has a strong track record of developing and overseeing behavioral health policies and services for adolescents, adults, and older adults.

Throughout her career, Levesque has been deeply committed to enhancing behavioral health services across Oregon. She has worked extensively to improve Medicaid and non-Medicaid-funded programs, foster inter-agency collaboration, and advance quality improvement initiatives.

Her expertise in evidence-based, trauma-informed care and her dedication to expanding access to mental health and substance use disorder services align seamlessly with Greater Oregon’s mission to provide high-quality, accessible care to communities across Eastern Oregon.

Founded in 1994, GOBHI is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation that is charged with administering the behavioral health Medicaid benefit, non-emergent medical transportation and community engagement in 12 rural and frontier counties in Oregon. GOBHI is a co-owner of the Eastern Oregon Coordinated Care Organization, along with Moda Health, and also provides various direct services statewide.
