TD Council praise Katie and Greg Cummings for heroism in TD Marina fire

The Dalles City Council recognized Katie and Greg Cummings for their efforts in helping rescue owners of boathouses and assisting law enforcement at The Dalles Marina fire on July 3.
Council gave the Cummings a Certificate of Recognition at their regular meeting on Monday, Sept. 13.
Greg Cummings said they did not do it alone.
“A lot of people did a lot to help that night,” he said, noting Angie and Eric Mcnabb, Mike Kasinger, Jeff Renard and Brad Lohrey all assisted during the blazing heat of the fire that destroyed eight boathouses.

Robert Kuenzinger
Councilors also recognized Robert Kuenzinger for his efforts on the Traffic Safety Commission. Kuenzinger suggested the modification of the traffic light at Sixth and Webber streets, eliminating a left turn conflict that existed.
