Maupin Madness Motorcycle ride set for June 11; sign up now

From the Maupin Chamber of Commerce:

Maupin Madness, a Motorcycle event in its 9th year and based out of Maupin, will take place Saturday, June 11th.

A gravel route was added this year, leaving riders to choose between four unique and scenic rides. Join us for a fun day of riding - topped off with poker, a whiskey tasting, raffle & silent auction!

This is a benefit event supporting a 501c(3) non-profit organization. The fundraising event benefits Veterans Back 40, a local organization that supports veterans through outdoor activities and off-road motorcycling.

Maupin Madness begins Saturday morning in uptown Maupin at Kaiser Park with a breakfast burrito and registration. This is where you’ll be able to buy that last minute t-shirt, raffle tickets, extra poker hands, meet fellow participants, and get your questions answered.

We will take riders through miles of scenic, Northcentral Oregon and a bit of Washington, depending on the route you choose, returning to the banks of the Lower Deschutes River in Maupin at the Imperial River Company.

In addition to our four routes, there will be a bike show and raffle followed by whiskey tasting and a chance to win a lifeflight membership. There will be a dirt bike area with BMW personnel on-site to give you some tutoring, and we will run the slow races so start practicing!

Live music and a barbecue will be awaiting your return. The $40.00 ticket price includes a map of your chosen run, your breakfast burrito, and a bandana if your run is more of a rally as you’ll need that for your photo proof in order to play your poker hand at the end!

Camp or stay in one of our lodges and make a weekend of it. We have reserved three different over night accommodations for participants: City Park, Imperial River Company Lodge and the Oasis Cabins. You must let them know that you are participating in Maupin Madness to book your stay. City Park: (541) 460-1629, The Imperial River Company Lodge: (541) 395-2404

The Oasis Cabins: (541) 395 2611 or book online at https://www.oasiscabinresort.com with promo code: MAUPINMADNESS. Camping is also available at Pine Hollow Lakeside Campground and at Hunt Park in Tygh Valley.

FOR TICKETS: Go to www.eventbrite.com, and type in ‘Maupin Madness 2022’ in the search box. Route maps are on the ticket page as well. Please choose your route in the booking, understanding that we can accommodate last minute or day-of changes if needed.
