Meet Joshuah Albert: Donations grow CCCNews team thanks to you
Editor’s Note - We asked our local supporters for additional donations at the end of 2022 and were amazed when we received some $4,000 to help grow our news coverage. In recent weeks, we have hired a video and content creator to help bolster our offerings. These donations made it possible. We are now engaging on average 100k unique readers per month mainly from the Gorge, but also from all over the U.S. We’ve had 3.2 million page views since our inception in April 2020. Thanks to all for your support and for believing in news that is accessible and inclusive with a focus on lifting up our communities.

Hello CCC news readers, my name is Joshuah Albert, a Video Editor and Content Creator here to bring you your local news. I am very excited to keep my local community informed and up-to-date on news and events that affect our lives.
Allow me to tell you a little more about myself. I am a resident here in the beautiful town of The Dalles; however, my origins are from southern Oregon. I grew up in the small town of Merlin Oregon, just a few miles outside of Grants Pass. In 2009 I moved to Hillsboro, where I went to school at the Portland Art Institute and studied Digital Film and Media. Then in 2021, I moved to my current residence in The Dalles. Shortly after, I got married and started a family. My wife and I have a daughter who just turned one. I love it out here, I think this is a fantastic place to live and raise a family. I'm looking forward to building strong bonds in our community.
Outside of being your trusty newsman, I lead quite an interesting life of odd hobbies and intellectual pursuits as I like to maintain a self-sustaining lifestyle. Gardening, building things out of recycled parts, winemaking, and even 3D printing. We truly live in an era where we can make almost anything by ourselves.
If you happen to talk with me in person, you’ll find that I am a super nerd. Comics, movies, video games, you name it. What I really love are old movies that flopped at the box office, typically from the 80s and 90s. My friends and I will get together and play classic board games such as Dungeons and Dragons, or Diplomacy. (A true test of friendship)
I want to thank CCCNews for allowing me to join the team and giving me the opportunity to serve our local community.
