TD's Kirchhofer releases first book of poetry

Megan Kirchhofer, a graduate of The Dalles High School class of 2019, recently released her first book of poetry.

"If Butterflies Could Talk" comes together as a collage of interconnected reflections, anecdotes, dreams, love notes, and detours from reality,” according to the book’s back cover. “It glimpses into Kirchhofer's tumultuous emotions, fluttering anticipation of the future, wavering state of being, and the complexities of being alive.”

She is offering the book through Amazon.com; click here.

Kirchhofer said the book was a product of over a decade of

passion,     heartbreak,      trauma,

Introspection, reflection and growth.

She is currently attending New Mexico State University where she is working toward her bachelor’s degree in Creative Writing and a master’s degree in Poetry.

She wrote a column entitled SunSpots for CCCNews for a short period of time during a COVID break in 2020.

She wrote a fascinating piece about the pandemic and its ultimate effect. Read it here.
