Milepost 97 Fire Burns 3.5 Acres

The Dalles, OR— A fire along I-84 at milepost 97 6 miles east of The Dalles, OR was reported at 7:19 a.m. on June 16, 2023. Mid-Columbia Fire and Resuce, Dallesport / Murdock Volutneer Fire Department, and Oregon Department of Forestry Central Oregon District responded to the scene.
Fire command reported that the fire had burned 3.5 acres and is 60% contained.
Fire crews have put out the head of the fire and are on mop-up.
