Motorcycle 'Ride Thru' set for this Weekend in TD

Cody Rogers of SeaKote Plus of The Dalles was working out the fine details in the freshly sealed parking lot of Zim’s Brau Haus this morning, July 26. 

The parking lot has been redone, and Bryan LaRoque of Route 30 Burgers Bottles & Brews and Shawn Manciu are close to finishing off the new outdoor seating at the rear entrance of the restaurant and sports bar.

It was just one of a few projects that has LaRoque moving this week.

He is also getting ready for a party this coming weekend.  

Laroque is looking forward to 1,000 motorcycle riders this weekend as Route 30 fundraises for Emilio Inc.

The nonprofit raises money to help with mental health challenges and preventing youth violence.

It is named after Emilio Hoffman who died in a school shooting at Reynolds High School in Troutdale in 2014. He was shot when another freshman boy brought multiple guns and ammunition into the boy’s locker room.

Last year, overall efforts in The Dalles raised some $18,000 for Emilio Inc., said Laroque this morning.
