D21 Announces Finalists for Superintendent Interviews

The North Wasco County School District Board of Directors is pleased to announce that they have selected three candidates to interview for their superintendent vacancy. The candidates selected for interviews are:
Carolyn Bernal – Camarillo, California
Jeff Dillon – Caldwell, Idaho
Theresa Peters – The Dalles, Oregon

Final interviews are scheduled to be conducted on Thursday, January 21st, 2021 with the School Board. Prior to the final interviews, a Public Forum will be held for community members to view each candidate’s responses to questions, and submit feedback for the School Board to review. The School Board intends to make its selection by Friday, Jan. 22nd, 2021.
North Wasco County School District retained the services of McPherson & Jacobson, L.L.C. to assist in conducting their search. The consultants reviewed, screened, and conducted extensive background checks on 11 applicants. On Wednesday, December 30th, 2020, of the 11 applicants, the consultants presented 7 qualified applicants to the School Board and provided them detailed background information on each applicant. The School Board then selected 3 candidates as finalists.
The Candidate Public Forum will be held electronically via the North Wasco County School District’s Facebook page (@northwascoschools), starting at 6:00 PM, on Friday, January 15th, 2021 (each candidate is scheduled for 30 minutes).
