TD Pavement Preservation Project, Crack Sealing – May 20 Through June 30, 2025

From City of The Dalles:

By Jill Hoyenga

The Dalles, Ore., May 15, 2025 — City crews will be crack sealing asphalt on streets at more than 60 locations throughout the City starting Monday, May 20, through Monday, June 30, 2025, beginning at 7:00 am each day, weather permitting. No park signs will be placed on the curb at least 48 hours ahead of scheduled work.

Motorists are asked to watch for the crews and avoid driving on the rubberized asphalt crack seal until it is set. These crack seal projects will require short-duration road closures between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. at each location for the protection of workers and to allow time for the seal to set.

This road work is expected to extend the service life of the pavement structure.

Please proceed with caution in these areas during construction times and observe all temporary traffic control devices. Thank you for your assistance during this work.

The City of The Dalles, Oregon, is situated in the north-central part of the state on the Columbia River, the nation's second largest river. It is the county seat and the largest community in Wasco County. The Dalles is one of Oregon's most historical cities and was known earlier in its history as the town at the end of the Oregon Trail.
