Hood River, Ore., December 12, 2023 – Cookies, Cocoa and Photos with Santa organizers presented Mid-Columbia Community Action Council (MCCAC) with a check for $2,700 on Monday, Dec. 11.

One hundred and forty-six families attended the Cookies, Cocoa and Photos with Santa event at Hood River Hotel to enjoy some holiday cheer and raise money to support programming at MCCAC.

"I feel incredibly blessed and grateful this year for the outpouring of support and love this community has shown. We really look forward to putting on this event year after year," said Jennifer Josephson, event organizer.

Josephson, who works as a real estate agent at Windermere, has organized the event with Cara McNulty of Kiddie City Child Care Facility for the past three years. The event has grown a little each year, both in attendance and in local sponsorships with last year’s event raising $1,000 for the houseless in Hood River.

This year’s sponsors included Windermere Real Estate Columbia River Gorge, Kiddie City Child Care Facility, Eternal Visions, Optimist Printers, Dani’s Kitchen Shop, JP Vizuals, and the Hood River Hotel.

MCCAC expressed gratitude to everyone who made the event a success.

"Seeing the community come out to participate in Photos with Santa and in support of MCCAC is our mission in action - we are working in partnership to build a better future for our community. A huge thank you to Jennifer Josephson along with the supporting businesses who made this event possible," said Kenny LaPoint, Executive Director of MCCAC.
