Police check out private DISH contractor

The Dalles City Police received several calls concerning a door-to-door salesman for Dish Satellite television services on Monday.
Police pulled over Shane Patrick Edward driving a white Ford F-250 with Utah plates for an unlawful stop, according to police logs. Edward was told not to return to a house on E. 19th Street where he attempted to check a satellite receiver at an individual’s home.
Edward was given a warning and released. In a second log entry posted at 7:19 p.m. on Monday, a man and a pickup fitting the same description, were reported on nearby View Court in East The Dalles and attempted to sell a senior woman Dish Network. “Central explained that there is a private company that does dish network locally,” according to the police log.
