Correction: Pool Takes Sting Out Of Hot Day

Correction: Pool Takes Sting Out Of Hot Day

Northern Wasco County Parks and Recreation opened the aquatic center on Monday, June 21, as temperatures soared into the 90s. The pool, at 602 W. Second St., which was shuttered last week due to a national chlorine shortage, put enough of the chemical together to open the pool on Monday.

Correction: CCCNews reported the pool would be open this coming Friday, June 25 through June 27 in the first version of this story. That is not necessarily the case. Park officials will make that determination later in the week based on predicted temperatures and if there is enough chlorine to do so safely. We Regret the error - Tom Peterson
