Anthony Lozano, 36, works on setting up a temporary power service on East 12th St., The Dalles this morning, Tuesday, Oct. 13. The Journeyman Lineman for Northern Wasco County People’s Utility District was making the power available for Joson Singh, who is rehabilitating a building for a new Center Market at 1615 E. 12th Street. Singh operates the Century Market on Walnut Street as well the Sasquatch Smoke Shop & Vape Supply at 802 Chenowith St. Singh said it will likely be several months of work to get the new site ready as the entire roof at the location had to be removed and a new one engineered and installed. The building, which used to house Dr. Robert Schwartz, has been torn down to the studs on the interior.
