Columbia Gorge Regional Skills Center opens this month on The Dalles Campus of Columbia Gorge Community College, students will have access to one of the more technologically advanced rapid prototype facilities within the region. As technology evolves, it has become more user-friendly. What was once 400 level coursework can now become a single assignment for a 100 or 200 level design, fabrication, welding, or art class.

In addition to having the most current prototyping machines, the college will also be home to the first-ever Squirt3l Ceramic 3D printer, built by artist and innovator Bri Murphy. Bri is a visiting artist who will be offering a lecture and presentation on Zoom this Friday, Sept. 10, at 7 p.m. Here's a Zoom link.
This will be a "TED Talk" style lecture to the community at large.
