Going Up

RBR Construction out of Hood River was getting trusses in place and finishing the framing on this duplex on the 2600 block of 14th St. this afternoon, March 18. It is a part of a cluster of three new duplexes in the same area. Foreman Bob Lauritsen said once this project is complete, his crew will be moving onto Klindt Drive along the river where they intend to build two 3-story four-plexes. He also noted that they were working earlier in the year on two duplexes at 9th and Morton streets. It’s a brisk business these days for builders in The Dalles. By that count, they will add 18 new homes for the area. “Just call me Bob The Builder,” he said laughing. Then he ran off to get his crew some water.
