Sewer Service Renewal Project at E 10 th St. and Thompson St.

The Dalles, Ore., Jan. 12, 2026 — On Thursday, January 22, 2026, the City of The Dalles Public Works will begin work on a sewer service renewal project located at E 10 th St. and Thompson St.

Road closed to through traffic on E 10 th St between Quinton St. and Thompson St. will remain in place from January 22 - 23, 2026. Road closed, open to local traffic only between Shearer St. and Thompson St. will remain in place for the same time period. Motor vehicles and bicyclists traveling through the area will be detoured to adjacent streets.

Pedestrian and sidewalk access will remain open through the duration of this work.

Work hours are from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on each scheduled work day. Traffic control signs will remain in place after work hours due to an open trench across E 10 th St. until the work is complete.

Please proceed with caution in this area during street closures. Please observe all temporary traffic control devices. Thank you for your attention to traveling safety during this work.

No parking will be allowed within the project areas to allow room for large equipment to safely work. No parking signs will be placed on the curb 48 hours before the project moves into each work area.
