In this week’s trivia contest, we are building bridges.

Take a look at the photo above - you can see The Dalles Bridge in two places - strange, huh?

Here’s the question. In what year was The Dalles Bridge completed?

And for kicks - not mandatory - tell us what was up with that second set of rectangular concrete supports at the right of the child. And, if you’re triple clutch, tell us the name of the child.

We don’t even know that.

Send your answers to tom@cccnews.com by Sunday, May 26 at 6 p.m. People with the correct answer will be entered into a raffle for a $25 gift certificate to Shannon’s Ice Cream in The Dalles. Dream a Little Dream of Ice Cream!

And if you don’t know the answer, find somebody that does. If you win you can share your ice cream reward. As Jack Johnson said, It’s always more fun to share with everyone.

Here’s a poorly kept secret - Waffle Cones meet handmade ice cream at Shannon’s. The purveyors of all things awesome are open daily from noon to 9 p.m at 318 Fourth Street in TD. It’s right across the street from The Dalles Civic Auditorium.
