Survey Says... you should take this survey on how to spend Google Dollars
In the past, Google dollars were utilized to leverage federal and state money to build the Chinook Residence Hall at Columbia Gorge Community College. More money from Google is set to come in. So, how should it be used? A new survey is now asking locals that question.

The Dalles, Ore., June 11, 2024 — Local officials are asking for input as they decide how to use Google Fees that will be coming to the City of The Dalles and Wasco County in years to come.
Ideas range from saving the money for an endowment fund to using it for economic investment to spur business or tourism growth. What about capital investment for schools? Or, should some or all of the money be used to reduce current property taxes?
There are no bad ideas at this point. So tell them before their next joint meeting set for July 23 at 5:30 p.m.
They want your input before any decisions are made.
