The Wasco County Historical Society will hold its annual meeting on Saturday, Oct. 7 at the Fort Dalles Museum and Anderson Homestead, 500 W. 15th and Garrison Streets in The Dalles from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

This year comes with a fantastic show of living history. The society welcomes Frontier Living History with the Sons of the Union Veterans of The Civil War.

This will include swords, muskets, uniforms, currency, rations, tents, and black powder demonstrations.

The annual meeting and program start at 1:30 p.m. in the barn. Local historian and professional archeologist Eric Gleason will provide a presentation on “Mapping Fort Dalles from 1859 to the present.”

Visitors will be offered treats and refreshments and a chance to ring the historic bell at the Fort. All are welcome. Bring the Family to the Fort! Don’t get FOMOOH - fear of missing out on history! See you there.
