Third through fifth-grade students from North Wasco County School District showcased their creativity and culinary talents at The Dalles Middle School in the Future Chef Competition on Wednesday, Feb. 19.

The owl pellet dissection was the kick-off competition for the group this year and drew a room full of interested students.

Thirteen Juniors are competing in the Wasco County Distinguished Young Women Scholarship Program set to go off tomorrow, Saturday, March 20. Talents including tap dancing, singing, violin, a monologue, color guard, even balance beam will be on display. The program has been year’s in the making. Read all about the participants here.
