The Dalles Area Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Highstreet Insurance & Financial Services, regretfully announces the postponement of our much-anticipated event, the 2024 Distinguished Citizens Award Banquet, originally scheduled for tomorrow night, January 18th.

We are surrounded by some truly amazing people here in the Mid-Columbia. And The Dalles Area Chamber of Commerce recognized a few on Thursday, Jan. 27 at its annual Distinguished Citizen Awards. Our Columnist Morgan Olson recently caught up with Maddie Dollarhide after she was awarded Youth of the Year by The Dalles Area Chamber of Commerce. Olson gives us some insight into Dollarhide and her love of animals as well as getting a glimpse at what motivates the Dufur High School Senior.

The Dalles Area Chamber of Commerce and Mid-Columbia Health Foundation is looking for nominations for The Annual Distinguished Citizens Awards. This year, the event will be aired via a recording highlighting all the winners on Thursday, January 21st, 2021.
