Fort Dalles Museum’s seasonal opening is coming with some interesting new details as the local archive of all things The Dalles has several new exhibits including a curation of an opium pipe, needle and spoon found in a tunnel entrance south of The Dalles Mercantile.

He and his crew were on site at the Fort Dalles Museum, removing two 120-foot ponderosa pines at the intersection of 15th and Garrison streets. The severe wind gusts early Wednesday morning, January 13, caused damage to the Fort Dalles Museum. A massive section of one of the historic pine trees broke during the wind and caused some damage to the roof and southwest corner of the Surgeon’s Quarters.
