Weather prognosticators are calling for more rain through the weekend with temps never jumping out of the 50s.

Framers with RBR Construction were working on mixed-use buildings this morning, Jan. 27, that will provide commercial space on the first floor and residential living on the second floor in the Port of The Dalles. The construction has been underway since summer and crews are moving fast to bring the project to fruition.

Sex Offender Loses Port of TD Candidate Willer's Endorsement

Port of TD Candidate John Willer endorsed Frank Polehn for a CGCC Board Position earlier this month on Facebook and is now retracting the statement since learning Polehn was convicted of attempted sex abuse in the first degree. “I had no idea who that guy was,” Willer said this morning in a brief conversation. Willer said he will release a full statement to CCCNews on the matter later today, Thursday, May 6.

Construction working around the clock in TD

A couple of construction projects in The Dalles have crews burning the candle at both ends. J.J. Castro Crew members Jaime Tello and Sergio and George Herrera were piling broken concrete this morning, Wednesday, Dec. 16. The work is being done in front of a new building in The Port of The Dalles near Klindt’s Cove.
